Your hosts in Sölden
We, the Erhart family are now in the third generation of welcoming guests from near
and far into our hotel in the heart of Sölden. Regular guests that have been coming
to the hotel for years, and new guests staying with us for the first time,
all appreciate our friendliness and Tyrolean hospitality.
Our close local ties as hosts are reflected in our philosophy of enjoyment
with many regional and seasonal products. With excellent service and
a welcoming atmosphere, we provide an unforgettable holiday experience
for all of our guests. True to our motto: holidays – relaxation – culinary delights.
Our Hotel Story
1981 - 2024
1981
Edification
We Franz & Alberta Erhart built a small bed and breakfast at the current location
with 6 guest rooms and 4 apartments with the then concise name.
Even then, great importance was attached to comfort and ambience.
1991 - 1993
Step into Independence
After more than 10 years as a sideline and as manager of a hotel in Sölden
Franz & Alberta Erhart decided in 1991 to take the big step towards independence
dare to fulfill their dream of owning there own business.
After 1 1/2 years of construction, in August 1993
the magnificent new building around Hotel Erhart to be completed.
1993 - 1997
Restaurant Schmankerltreff and 3rd Generation Erhart's
From the very beginning, the Erhart was known for its extraordinarily good cuisine.
At the beginning still under the kitchen management of Franz Erhart.
After a few changes of head chef in the first few years
Benjamin Erhart took over the management of the kitchen in 1997, which he has held to this day.
The restaurant, which is known far beyond the Ötztal valley as a place for delicacies, was in its time
highly rated by the leading gourmet guides (Gault Millau, Falstaff, A la carte, La Cusine).
In the years 1993 and 1996 the 3rd generation of the Erharts was born with Raphael and Viktoria
and complete the luck and ensure the continued existence for the future.
2001
Extension of fitness room
In order to increase our offer, the hotel was
expanded to include a fitness room with top Techno GYM equipment.
2003
10-year company anniversary
this year we were allowed with many regular guests
celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hotel Erhart on the Gampe Thaya.
2013
20th company anniversary
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary, Franz Erhart died far too early
and unexpectedly at the age of 65. That year Benjamin took over the management of the hotel.
2014
Start with the annual summer night gala
In 2014 we started for the first time with the 7-course summer night gala including wine accompaniment.
This year we celebrated our 20th anniversary
and even invited 3x to the gala in July, August and September.
2015
Partial modernization
In spring 2015 we have four double rooms in Sölden and a Rebecca hotel apartment
and a double room Erhart in the old building modernized by the joinery Prantl from Habichen.
2016
Expansion of the breakfast buffet and the liquor cabinet installation
In spring 2016 we have the breakfast buffet area as well as in the dining room
the spirits installation was expanded by the joinery Prantl from Habichen.
2017
Viktoria Graduation with high school diploma
After graduating from the tourism school in Zell am Ziller, Viktoria starts working in the company
and from now on supports the hotel at the reception in the 3rd generation.
2018
Small updates and extensions
The wellness area is extended by a two-person infrared cabin.
The garden area was also beautified and the parking lot provided with lighting and crushed asphalt.
2019
Raphael moves to the hotel and modernises
At the beginning of the year, Raphael also rose after completing his carpentry apprenticeship
and a few journeyman years in the family business.
He is now responsible for all maintenance and modernization projects.
In autumn, the ski room was completely redesigned for the coming winter season
and equipped with a shoe drying unit.
In the summer, the construction of a BIKE WASH station started straight away
and in the spring a new front door was also installed.
2020
Small modernization measures
We have replaced the old sofas in our guest rooms with comfortable lounge chairs.
The restaurant area also received a new look.
2021
Mandatory break
Unfortunately, Corona forced us to take a break.
In June we put our Ofyr Grill in the gourmet lounge into operation for the first time
and subsequently also on many occasions with our guests.
2022
Extensive improvements
We adapted new, large FLAT Smart TVs and minibars in the rooms.
Our lounges in the hotel lobby have been given a new look.
We renewed the seating on the balconies.
In autumn we completely renovated and redesigned the wellness area with an extension
a stone pine relaxation lounge designed by our in-house carpenter Raphael.
2023
10 years of the summer night gala and 30th anniversary of the company
This year we also celebrated our 30th anniversary as part of the 10th summer night gala.
